Some beaches are better than others for seeing a sunset in the Tampa Bay area. All of the beaches have a view of the sun setting into the ocean, and some are good for daytime activities. These are some of the places we recommend you go to see a sunset in the Tampa Bay area of Florida:
All of these beaches have paid parking lots. Most are about $1 an hr. Our TOP recommendation is Indian Shores Beach. This has close parking, great sand, and lots of beach area.
All of these are located direct on the Gulf Coast. If you are in Tampa you will need to cross the Howard Frankland Bridge into the St. Petersburg area and head west. Total distance is about 20 miles. See the photos below or go directly to our beach pages for more information about each beach.
