One of the best parts of Florida are the beaches. We have personally visited each beach listed here. We have included information on each beach as well as several photos from the beach.
Our list mainly focuses on the beaches on the West Coast of Florida – St. Petersburg and Tampa Bay area.
This is a beach in the Naples area. Located at the end of a long brick road. This beach entrance costs $8 and features a small nature preserve and beach area. Located south of Ft. Myers and just north of Naples, Florida. A decent Florida beach, but rather expensive for the size.

Located on the Gulf Coast of Florida, about 30 miles south of the Tampa Bay area. Voted as one of the best Florida beaches. Has nice white sand and blue water. Close to St. Armands Circle.
This is a popular beach in Florida. Located on the Gulf Coast, Clearwater Beach features many restaurants with a beach view, soft white sand, and the famous Pier 60.

This beach is just north of Daytona Beach and is very calm and tranquil. Great place to relax. Most of the people going to this beach are locals or people who wander from the Gulf Coast in search of tranquility. Recommended for the peace and quiet which can be romantic. Pull up a chair, close your eyes and dream away. Not to be confused with Ormond by the Sea, which is just north of Ormond Beach.

This beach is in an area of the East coast of Florida that has low population. The sand was interesting and the assortment of shells are decent.
Caladesi´s white sand shores have been rated as the nation´s #1 best beach in 2007 by Dr. Stephen Leatherman, aka Dr. Beach. Caladesi Island is accessible only by private boat or by the Caladesi ferry for a nominal fee. The trip on the ferry to the island is very nice and relaxing as you go through the mangroves and you may even see some dolphins up close and personal. This beach is near Indian Rocks Beach. Easy to confuse the two beaches. Loaded with awesome restaurants and beach condos. One of the many perfect places to see a sunset.
Pay $5 to walk on the big rocks. (oochie owie!) Find neat shells if you dig in the sand.
