If you are looking for a low-budget motel style room, The Kingsail Resort will fit that requirement. Not sure on the use of ‘Resort’ in the title. The Kingsail ‘Resort’ is definitely not in the Classic Florida Keys style. More of the 70’s retro room items such as the beds, the tables, and the scent. Wouldn’t choose here again unless it was the only option. The view is okay, and the pool is standard.
When choosing a hotel/motel/resort in the Florida Keys some of the choices can be hit or miss. …
A hotel with a real old style Key West feeling. The Seafarer is located in Key Largo, Florida.
Do not expect all awesome new luxury hotel decor.
A decent hotel with an old fashioned Florida Keys feeling.
The ceiling fan was a bit noisy.
Better to leave it off and use the in-window air conditioning.
Our review is of the room, the grounds, and the amenities.
Stayed in August, on a ground level room, close to the pool and outdoor hottub.
24-7 Starbucks machine for free coffee. Included tea and water.
Walking distance to Duval Street. Willy-Ts just around the corner.
The pool – good size, and most visitors were out exploring Key West (and not in the pool).
The hot tub – nearly too hot to use in August, but, a great hot tub anyways.
The wine and cheese, and crackers daily around 5pm.
The breakfast was ok, a continental breakfast …
Located one street over from Duval Street, this hotel or guest house is close to the famous zero mile marker.
This clothing-optional location is one of the few in Key West. Most likely popular during Fantasy Fest week.
An easy walk to Duval and the Mallory Square.
Photos taken in late November and early December at the Disney All Star Music Resort. The Calypso section was near the front of the resort and featured a pool shaped like a guitar. The pool was heated at night, and there was a drink/bar area which was also opened at night. One of the featured drinks was a Coconut Mojito.
You can’t really tell the pool is shaped like a guitar unless you look from a distance,
such as from the 2nd floor of the Calypso resort.
You can sea Downtown Disney, and parts of Disneyworld, such as the Epcot dome. Depending on the room you choose, you can either overlook Downtown Disney, or overlook the pool area. You can get a good sense of the traffic in the area from the hotel view. You’ll notice that Downtown Disney is usually very crowded, especially at the end of the weekend when Disney visitors go to get their last Disney experience.
Orlando, near Disneyworld.
Photo taken in October during the Halloween Season. The pool temp was cold, but several people made it into the pool. There is also an outdoor hot tub and a bar area. Looks good even in the colder weather. The hot tub has room enough for about 10 people. Get your drinks and the outdoor bar and celebrate!
The Bahia Mar Beach Hotel in Ft. Lauderdale Florida is right within a short walk to the beauty of Ft. Lauderdale Beach. You walk over the A1A road, as seen in the picture here, and you are at the beach. Is this the best hotel in Ft. Lauderdale? Could be as it is so close to the beach, so even from the hotel room you can watch the sunrise in the morning.
801 Seabreeze Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316
Beach Hotel in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida
Pictures taken at Disney’s Pop Century hotel at Disney World, Florida.
A fun Pop Culture resort featuring the 50s through the 90’s. Each hotel has its own decade theme with decorations showing the time period through cultural references. The 80’s had Pac Man, Rubik’s Cube, and popular 80s sayings. The bus which takes you to the theme park will include pop culture tv theme songs playing during the ride. November 2011
The Marriott World Center hotel is one of the tallest hotels off of I-4 near Sea World. A great hotel, with a nice indoor setting.
Photos are of the lobby, the pool area, and the view from the top floor of the hotel.
