The cake served during the dinner aboard the Carnival Paradise for the 50th anniversary of Carnival.
The frosting was just plain white with 3 layers of cake. The ‘interesting’ part of the cake was the chewy fruit chunks throughout the frosting. It was the type of fruit you would associate with a fruit cake – very sticky and chewy and very dense. The pineapple chunks were quite tart. Easy to pick out the fruit, if you didn’t want all of that chewy fruit in your cake. Well, not very easy in the center of the cake. You would just need to power through the fruit, or just eat the cake portion of the dessert.
Not something you would order, but was a fun new cake to try.
Fancy and sweet – photo taken during a cruise out of Tampa, heading to Cozumel Mexico. Nearly every cruise out of Tampa has Cozumel on the itinerary.
