A movie starring Elvis, filmed in 1962. Most of the movie was filmed in Yankeetown and Crystal River on the Gulf Coast of Florida. A section of Route 40 was renamed Follow That Dream Highway (in Inglis Florida). The entire film was recorded in Florida, and there are many outdoor scenes showing both Route 40, and the beach/bridge in Bird Creek.
In the movie the family car runs out of gas on a Florida highway and the family decides to start a community in the area despite the local government trying to run them off the land.
